The Library — Warehouse 46
Alserkal Avenue, Dubai, U.A.E.
The project reimagines the library as a hybrid space for work, leisure, and social exchange, combining a bookstore, book rental and resale functions, and an integrated café. Focused on art and design publications, the retail offer includes vintage and international titles alongside books connected to Alserkal’s creative community, fostering both individual use and a wider sense of community.

Using a lightbox model, an initial study of perforation and aperture was carried out to explore how light enters the space. This iteration helped shape a calmer and more serene atmosphere suited to a library setting.
